We've supplied 800 MW of our Bifacial Horizon plus™ systems for Qatar's landmark solar project in Al-Kharsaah – the world's largest two-in-portrait (2P) single-axis tracker plant. 

Located in Al-Kharsaah, around 80 km west of the capital, Doha, over 1.8 million solar panels mounted on IDEEMATEC trackers supply 10% of the electricity needed to power the country. Launched before the start of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, this power plant significantly reduced the World Cup's carbon footprint. 
We are honored to be chosen by leading global companies to supply our Horizon Plus™ solar tracker for this record-breaking project, said Mario Eckl, CEO of IDEEMATEC. "This milestone power plant will strengthen our Middle-East and North African (MENA) portfolio, which is on pace to total 1.6 gigawatts (GW) by 2021."

We rose to the occasion and provided the highest local and global service standards, from the initial planning stages to commissioning. Our world-class support didn't stop when the project started up – after-sales support always continues throughout the plant's lifetime. Despite the scale of the project and all of the logistical challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we're proud to say that IDEEMATEC maintained a robust supply chain, ensuring logistics stayed on track with continuous shipments of equipment and materials. In total, over 5,000 IDEEMATEC solar trackers were successfully delivered and constructed!
