Ideematec is proud to have been awarded the 3rd project in the Merak Solar Project cluster near Lichtenburg, South Africa. Once complete, the cluster will comprise 388MWp of Ideematec’s flagship L:TEC® 1P tracker technology, with the first two projects comprising 256MWp already well under construction.

The L:TEC®’s patented locking and decoupled drive technology has made it possible to deploy XXL modules and longer string lengths without comprising the stability of the trackers. In addition, the low inclination stow offers the best module protection available whilst the lifetime stress on the tracker and modules is significantly decreased.

Through a strong partnership with a local industrial partner, Ideematec is currently expanding its local capabilities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
